any body out there in cyber space with a fix?

What problems are you having? Just saying you're "having problems" doesn't
help us help you at all! First thing you could try it make sure you are
running with the same updates as they are and that you are both using the
same version of Windows Messenger... Otherwise, post back with more info,
especially the exact text of any error messages you may be getting...

Also having problems.

Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the remote
host name could not be resolved.
Here is my message. There was no exact match for it, but the results came
back from the Microsoft Technet Knowledge base, with something like
"this happens when the connection is lost. It can be resolved by restarting
the request or using Microsoft Messenger."

I'm using Microsoft Messenger. Worked up until recently. Is it a firewall
issue? What port does this use?

If you have your network setup with a router, you will need to do a "port
forward".
Go into your router setup and look for Port forward. Mine is Linksys and I
found it under "Applications & Gaming". Enter 3389 as the port and enable
it.
Make sure that firewall is off.

Hope that helps.
