Remote Assistance Connection

I successfully connected from my desktop to a remote
desktop and took control. I connected thru the internet
using windows messenger to establish the connection.
Overnight, I lost the connection. I did not gracefully
shutdown the connection.

Since then I have not been able to establish connection to
the remote desktop from my desktop. I receive
message 'remote assistance connection could not be
established because the remote host name could not be
resolved. Please try again'. I can successfully establish
connection and take control from another desktop in my
office. We are a small office - all the desktops are
connected thru the same router to the internet. Any ideas?

Remote assitance uses NetMeeting, so you can just do that
and call the computer you want to access by IP address or
just use Remote Desktop and call the computer again by IP
address, that way you avoid going out on the web and
having to use any messenger... in my opinion...
