I'm at a loss here, I'm trying to connect remotely to my mother-n-law's
computer and it tells me the connection cannot be established. I have walked
her through disabling firewalls, I have edited the ip address in the email,
and nothing seems to work.
I was able to get on her computer before, so I don't know what I could be
missing, any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you

Are you or your mother-in-law behind a router? If so, make sure UPnP
(Universal Plug n Play) is enabled on the router. Also run a scan disk or
error checking on the C: drive for each computer. Go to My Computer /
right-click the C: drive and select Properties. Click on the Tools tab and
click check now for Error Checking then select "Automatically fix file
system errors" then start. Click Yes then restart the computer's.
