Remote Assist won't initiate

Remote Assist will not work either when I request or
accept. When I accept it says "you have accepted the
invitation for remote assist" and just sits there. At
that very moment the person on the other end sees the
send invitation and cannot see that i have accepted the
invitation. This seems to have started w/SP2. I do have
SP2. I have gone to the "system" in control panel and
allowed R/A. I made sure that there was an exception for
R/A in the firewall. I even configured the remote
desktop for the other puter. I have tried with win.
firewall enabled/disabled. I have gone into "services"
and turned everthing to "automatic" (hope that doesn't
cause problems). This is truly a stumper. Thankyou in
advance.

If one or both PCs are hidden behind a NAT router, that could cause this
problem.

For use of Remote Assistance with NAT routers, you must:

- enable UPnP support in the NAT router;
- check the "UPnP framework" exception in Windows Firewall, or equivalent in
other firewalls.
