Remote administration

Hello,

I am very new to XP embedded and I do not have a lot of system admin
experience with XP so please patient with my not so very hard questions.
Here it goes:

I have an embedded system that eventually will be headless. Because of this
I need be able to connect to it remotely. The best instructions I could
find on microsoft's website tell me to add Terminal Services macro
component. I did this but further instructions tell me to right click on
'my computer' and select properties. When I do this nothing happens. I am
assuming I am missing quite a few packages or components. My first question
is don't I need to connect to my network? Can anyone help me with this and
give me some direction, even point me to a good article. I have ordered a
book, but I probably won't get it until next week.

It is a known issue. Some reg.entries are missing from your image. You can search this NG archive for more info :

However, instead, you can just launch System Control Panel applet manually.

Get familair how the RDP feature works on XP Pro and you would know what to do on XPe.

You surely do if you want to remotely connect to the device :-)
