Dirk
I'm not sure if I'm wording this correctly. I need to
push Microsoft Critical & Security patches to XP Pro
workstations. I can do this successfully to NT and 2K
workstations using 3rd party software (GFI's LANguard
Network Security Scanner v3.3 and Shavlik's HFNetChkPro
v4). We are not using Microsoft SUS (please throw that
out of the equation, for now). With LANguard and
HFNetChkPro, I cannot establish a session to any XP Pro
workstation with the credentials of the XP Pro workstation
so that I can push patches. There must be something(s)
with XP Pro that need to be enabled/disabled. The XP Pro
workstation is in the same workgroup as the 2K workstation
that is using the push software. I installed the push
software on a NT 4 server that is a backup domain
controller (our primary domain controller cannot handle
the load... according to my supervisor) and I still cannot
connect to any XP Pro workstation. We do not have Active
Directory.
In Need of Help,
Thank you
