remote administration

I have had it suggested to me that I disable file and print sharing on
clients that don't need to share folders or printers. I would like to be
able to do that but it knocks out remote administration also. Is there a
way to fix that, or is it just the way it is?

I have been told to turn it off by several consultants in the past. One
reason i thought being cutting some network traffic, but that may not be
true. mainly though I think it goes along the whole think of, don't run
services you aren't using. if you don't want users sharing folders from
their hard drives and typically network printers are printers with their own
NIC then for the most part you aren't using file and printer sharing, except
for admininstration. so i gues you are using it, just not for the more
obvous reasons.
