You can use Remote Desktop to access a Windows XP PRO or higher
machine.
In order to set this up, you need to configure your
firewall/router/internet sharing configuration to forward incoming
requests on TCP Port 3389 to the private IP address of your Windows XP
machine (see your router/firewall/ICS documentation on how to do
this).
Second, you need to enable Remote Desktop by Right-Clicking on My
Computer, select Properties and the Remote Tab, then enable the option
for Remote Desktop.
You then run the remote desktop client (available at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientdl.asp) and
type in the ISP provided address for your Windows XP machine (visit
http://www.ipaddressworld.com/ on the Windows XP machine to see what
your IP address is) and you should be able to connect using your
Username and Password.
