can anyone tell me weather its possible to link up my computer to an overseas
computer and if this one (overseas) has any problems i can resolve them for
the owner is this done easly.

If both PCs are running XP (any flavor) or Windows 2003 server or Vista you
can use Remote Assistance...

Another option if the remote PC is running XP Pro or Windows 2003/2000
server and Terminal Server you can use Remote Desktop...

If the remote PC is running XP Home look at UltraVNC with its encryption
plug-in and XP video driver for the UltraVNC host PC...

Whether or not it is possible?
It is possible.
Whether or not you are setup for it is another issue.

If you are both Windows XP --> That helps.

If not - well - which end is which would help. If they are Windows XP
Professional and you are something else - you can still remotely control the
machine with Remote Desktop.

If neither end is Windows XP - or the remote end is XP Home and you need to
be able to control it whether or not the user is there to be assisted - you
will need to install a third party product.
