remote access

when trying to "ask for assistance" i get the following message -

"your currant systems settings prevent you from sending an invitation"

How do i fix the is please

Check the following:
Go to Control Panel and double click the System icon.
In System Properties, click on the Remote tab.
Make sure there's a check mark in the box next to "Allow Remote
Assistance invitations to be sent from this computer".
Click OK.

Note: You may also need to configure any firewall program you
have running to allow remote assistance.

I went to system properties and the only thing under remote is remote
assitance, remote acces is not there- do you know where else it would be? I
am running XP Home.

*** I meant Remote Desktop wasn't there not remote access***

That's because a computer running Windows XP Home Edition
cannot act as the host for a Remote Desktop session. You'd need
to be running XP Professional.

If you're looking to access your XP Home Edition computer from
a remote system, you might want to look into one of the
following options:

UltraVNC
http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/

LogMeIn - Remote Access and Desktop Control Software for your
PC
https://secure.logmein.com/go.asp?page=home

Thank you very much. I was beginning to think that b/c I was running XP home
that was the issue.
