event log .I dont know how to find out who it is or if it
is someone with access to my computer.I really need to
know which programs to buy to to stop this and virus too.I
had second thought e too not to long ago. I dont think my
avg down load got it all out. Thank You ps how do you
find out who it is?

Hard to say, it would be helpful if you pasted the Event ID here in a reply. The link
below explains a bit on how to tell if someone is accessing your computer.

Your computer would be very vulnerable if you are not using a firewall while
connected to the internet. There are many free personal firewalls available such as
Zone Alarm which works well and is easy to configure for computer novices. Keeping
current with all critical updates at Windows Updates and using a anti virus program
that is kept up to date and also scans ALL of your emails are important steps to
keeping your computer and data secure. The link below explains this a bit more.

In addition to virus scan, of which I think Norton is good for home users and I use
it myself, you need to check for Parasites at least once a week. AdAware is a free
program that does that very well. Just be sure to update it before you run it which
you can do within the program after you start it. Norton antivirus can be bought at
your local Best Buy or such or ordered online at places like NewEgg
http://www.newegg.com/software/?DEPA=6 for very low prices. There are also sites on
the internet and tools you can download for virus scans as shown below. --- Steve
