Hi Mike,

Use Remote Assistance. Click Start/Help & Support, read all
about it.

I am trying the exact thing. When I go to the help & support section
it ask me to invite someone to help me. When I click on this it
brings up the window showing me what i want to use. 1. Windows
messenger or 2. e-mail. I have msn messenger 6.2 installed and
running but the windows says i need to download the program.

i want to access my brothers computer and be able to help him fix a
problem with adware/spyware stuff. All I want to do is access his
admin tools list and task manager listings. Am I using the right
program-Remote Assistance? Do I need another type of program for
this?

I use Win XP SP1, Norton Anitvirus 2003, MSN Messenger 6.2 Outlook
Express 6, IE 6.0, 56k modem, firewall disabled,

If your brother want help, he should be using the remote access facility. All you need to do is to give the password when your brother sends the request and then click on "Take control." Use Skype for talking PC to PC during your session it is the best there is.
