I will be going abroad for at least 6 weeks shortly and would like to access
my Outlook express messages whilst abroad - obviously from another computer.
Is this possible? I run on Windows ME ( if that makes a difference)

Does your ISP provide a web based email access? Check with them. That is
really the easiest. Do make sure however that its SSL encrypted.
Otherwise...

I setup a Gmail account then used its fetch mail functionality
to grab email from my ISP, ie. Cox HSI. I then setup Windows Mail (OE
clone) on my Vista laptop to access my Gmail account which had my regular
email in its inbox. Details here...

This works well for me when traveling because I am hopping through many
different ISP depending on what hotel or family/friend I am visiting. An
added bonus is that Gmail is SSL encrypted while my normal Cox HSI email
is not.

Since your going to be using many different PCs you could then use the
SSL encrypted Gmail web based email access. Make sure you setup labels so
you can tell what email is from Gmail (if you get any) or your regular
ISP.

I forgot to add this link which illustrates how I setup the Gmail fetch
function, etc.
