Currently I use Windows XP - Home Edition and can not do a Remote Access to
my home computer from work computer which is XP Professional. I want to make
sure once I switch to Vista that I will be able to perform Remote Access from
work to home. What do I need to know (software/hardware) for this to happen.

Much appreciated,
Hamid

I have to resort to using Remote Desktop as pcAnywhere does not even have a
beta to play with and LogMeIn doesn't seem to work on Vista. RD has been very
good so far. I started using Hamachi VPN from work to home. I really like it.

From the Vista FAQ on Remote Desktop Connections.

You cannot use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to computers running
Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Basic N,
or Windows Vista Home Premium, and you can only create outgoing connections
from those editions of Windows Vista.

Now Remote Assistance will work on these versions, but that isn't quite the
same as Remote Desktop.
