I have a Windows 2000 professional work station on a
network with a NT4.0 Server. When I came in the this
morning the computer would no longer do anything that
required an IP address. It would not print to network
printers, get on the internet, or get e-mail from the mail
server. In the event viewer I get the 2 messages
simultaneously:
Source - Rasman
Event ID 20035
Remote Access Connection Manager failed to start because
it could not create buffers. Restart the computer.
Access Denied.
Source - Service Control Manager
Event ID 7023
The remote access connection manager service terminated
with the following error: Access is denied.
If I go into the services and try to start the Remote
Access Connection Manager manually it tells me access is
denied.
I have no problem seeing the other computers on the
network when I go to my network places and I can access
all the files on the other dirves.
Please help I am dumbfounded.
Thanks,
Chris
