You need (if they are hooked to routers and getting private IPs like
192.168.x.x) to setup the router to pass the proper port traffic through the
router. Sending an invitation to yourself will do little to no good unless
someone is at the other computer to allow you to access it... The invitation
can still be rejected at the door. You want Remote Desktop.
You did not say what version of Windows XP (Home or Professional) you have?
