Dear,

We've got a problem with outlook's reminders, when a user
log to the Citrix XP farm with a thin client and launch
Outlook XP the reminders that he gets in his task or
calendar didn't show the reminder's pop-up.

But if he closes outlook XP and re-opens Outlook, he must
wait 30 seconds and his reminders pop-up and everything
good.

Do you have an idea about this problem?
Did you get this problem during your migration?

Thank's for your help

Regards

Hello,

You posted this about a week ago, and I replied but you
didn't bother to follow it up. So I won't be going into
too much detail.

This is a known problem with Office XP. It has to do with
the firstrun key in the registry.

Dear,

Sorry about this mistake, but I'm on fire since a month
with the windows 2000 migration.

the web about it but without succeed.

Hi,

No Problem.

This link is where I discovered it was a known problem.

http://www.freelists.org/archives/thin/08-
2002/msg01407.html

All I did was to hard code the firstrun key in HKLM and
setup a script so that every time the user logged on it
set the firstrun key in HKCU to be the same value. Just
make up a value.

Hope this helps.

Dear,

I've got a last question about this problem, is it
FirstRun or First-Run?
