Reminders not reminding

Hello all,

I have a problem with Reminders (Outlook 2000 sp1).
People are sending me invitations to meetings and I accept
them. However, only some of the meetings have a reminder
set even though my default setting in Tools -> Options is
set to 15 min before.

Does anyone know why Outlook seems to be ignoring my
default setting?

I think the meeting organizer would have to set the reminder on the meeting
request for it to automatically be set when you add the meeting to your
calendar.

I checked the setting of the person who created the
meeting and they also have the default reminder set to 15
min. I am certain that the meeting was sent out with a 15
minute reminder on it.

Is there any other possible explination for this?
