Hi,
Is there any way to get follow up reminders for contacts in BCM? You can
set a flag, but nothing pops up to remind you to excute.

Thanks to all in advance!

Hi

This look like a design issue and might be considered in the upcoming
releases. The reason being reminders will only fire if they are created in
your default mail folders (ie within Outlook pst) whereas BCM contacts are
stored in a database which does not support the same.

Faster95,

Eventhough each Account and Business Contact Record form has the follow up
flag feature in the toolbar, this feature does not function in any BCM item.
This is a native Outlook (without BCM) item functionality only. BCM records
were apparently originally created from the native Outlook forms templates
and thus some features "appear" to be available in the BCM record item. This
confusion is the result of design detail oversight with BCM that naturally
just confuses the heck out of newer users who easily are led to believe that
a feature should work because why else would it be on the form? Not all of
the command and workflow functions from various Outlook items are necessarily
also supported in BCM eventhough they are visibly present.

If you click and drag a contact from business contacts into the standard
contact folder everything works. Yopu will now have the contact twice, once
in the business contacts folder and once in the standard contacts folder. Its
cumbersome but it means that your get the reminders from the standard
contacts folder.. When you acesss the reminder simply delete the contact from
the standard contacts folder and edit the contact in the business contacts
folder.

I think Tasks will be your best option.

Create a task from within the record you want and cut and paste the account
or business contact name to it. You can then drill through to the record from
the task later..... not ideal but works.
