I have a user on a notebook computer who has Microsoft Outlook 2003 connected
to a remote Microsoft Exchange server. She constantly gets a message that
reads, "Outlook could not start the reminder service..." Thus, she doesn't
get any of her calendar reminders about meetings or appointments. I've tried
these two things to no avail:

1. Started Microsoft Outlook from a command line using the "outlook
/cleanreminders switch.
2. Started Microsoft Outlook from a command line using the "outlook
/resetfolders" switch.

Any help would be appreciated...

was it a clean install of outlook 2003 or an upgrade from older versions?

Thank you for your response, Diane. She received a brand new computer and a
clean install of Microsoft Office 2003 Professional. Several other users are
the same configuration and have received the same error; however, the
switches from my earlier e-mail seemed to fix the problem. Her calendar
reminders only work once in a great while...
