Remembering Passwords

H

Hal

Just installed WinXP and established a dial-up
connection. When I click to remember the password in the
DUN wizard, a password other than the one I entered is
remembered the next time I log-in. The only way I can
log in is not to remember the password and enter it
manually every time I log on. A password revealer
program I use shows the password that is automatically
entered as being a string of asterisks.

Plz make sure u input ur pass correctly, then click the check box of remember
it.
Last time u log in, it should be auto.No doubt.
That tool showed those asterisks was not work correctly.
U try it again.

Windows will always show a stored password as 16 dots to hide it's length.

It's probably working properly. Your password revealer is probably
incorrect.

Thanks. I tried again and it worked with the password I
entered. Showing 16 dots was new to me; Win98 didn't do
that.
