BT is apparently going to bring out a tablet PC (iPad rival.)

...the telecommunications giant will be releasing a tablet PC that can apparently make and receive phone calls.

That sounds to me, like a step back to the days of the very big mobile phone... only with more bells and whistles, this time.

Certainly do remember them. There was a chap used to come in the pub with one, the size of a large brick. He used to stand it on the bar (it wouldn't go in his pocket ) so everyone could see it.


He was a proper show off.

Sounds interesting - it looks like everyone and their dog are bringing out a tablet PC of some sort. I wonder how much this one will cost?

Back in the early 1990's we used to at work to have a mobile brick style mobile with external battery back and 5" aerial. Had it's own carry case & it was a bad day if you had to lug it around with you for the day!!
