In my documents (and the whole of my computer) I have set windows xp pro to
hide known file type extensions, but when I re start windows all the file
extensions are showing.

Can any one help me with this small but irritating problem.

Cheers

Nik

Depends, Nik. If you are not running any other third party tweakers, etc,
check the relevant keys via the registry using RegMon.

In the meantime:

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Thanks Kelly

I have tried that and it did not work.

I have no tweaking software and it is a brand new system so I am at a loss
at why this is happening.

Cheers any way

NIK
