How can there be such a price variation among even the remanufactured
toner cartridges? Here is a pricegrabber.com search for an HP 92291A
reman. The more expensive ones may be worth it, but the dealers are sure
not blowing their horns as to why. Any thoughts?

Some remanufacturing people replace several parts, including the
somewhat expensive light sensitive drum.

Some remanufacturing people are as primitive and "drill and fill".

A large variation in costs probably partly reflects a large variation in
the amount of work and replacement that actually goes on.

If you drill and fill a toner cartridge that the prior remanufacturer
had fully refurbished, you can probably get by with it not going bad for
this particular "drill and fill".

Besides, it is fairly cheap to give you another real cheap toner
cartridge as a replacement if they shipped you a bad one that failed early.
