In a book divided into several chapters, every chapter has
its own endnotes and footnotes. In a MS-WORD file, all
endnotes of all chapters will be located at the end of the
book. But in fact, we want that endnotes should be located
just at the end of a certain chapter. I have tried for a
long time to do so, but I failed. Can you teach me how I
can do that?

You can do this in Word 2002 by selecting "End of section" for the endnote
placement and then checking the box for "Suppress endnotes" (Layout tab of
Page Setup) for each section before the one where you want the endnotes
placed. In previous versions of Word you have to work around this by letting
Word put the endnotes at the end and fudging the page numbers so that you
can rearrange the pages and put the endnotes somewhere before the absolute
end.
