relocating files

I would like to know how I can relocate files on my
system to a secondary hard drive so as to speed things up
and simply have xp and essentials on one drive and games
and such on a secondary drive..I do not want to reinstall
these existing programs but just some how relocate...Is
this possible easily and how ??

The only clean way to migrate most programs is to uninstall them and
reinstall them to the new location. Many programs put absolute references to
their location in the registry.
