I have changed my system because of some unavoidable reason. I was using
Windows 2000. And still using win 2000

How can I transfer my outlook settings (look, style, groupings, contacts,
calendar, OE settings with Newsgroups ...in short all settings related to
outlook & outlook express). Also If possible kindly tell me how can i
transfer MS Office settings in general to my new system.

Please please any suggestions / advices regarding relocation from old-system
to new-system will be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Murtaza

Hi Murtaza,
That's a pretty good situation, two systems that work, so you
shouldn't lose anything if you forget to back something up. Of
course now it is more common to have two machines linked which
would still be pretty much be the same only faster.

Take a look at my pages on backup and on Outlook Expess
there are OE sites also mentioned in references.

Outlook Express uses *.dbx files for data.

I say ideal because besides what I first mentioned, you do want
to know that your backups will actually work, and that you
know what to do when you actually have to use them.

And just maybe you'll have some suggestions afterwards.

most of outlook's settings are in the pst - move it and use it on the new
machine - do not import! Open it using file, open then set it as the
default.

Look at these pages for information on Outlook data backup:
