I am trying to load XP Home onto a new disc. The autorun
begins the setup and loads files. Then To Setup XP press
enter, then XP licesence thit F8. Get the Xp setup and
then select choose partition C to setup. Then format C,
then setup is loading files. At the end it reboots the
machine and begins the setup again. It does not go to the
next step for completing XP. I think it is the CD,
someone else thinks there needs to be a file added to the
hardrive. If I call gateway they say call MS. MS says
to call Gateway.
Thanks
Maurice

Try this, after setup finishes load files take the CD out of the drive and
reboot the system, or reboot the system then remove the CD. This should
allow setup to move forward. If not at least it may give an error message
that we can look for in the Knowledge Base to resolve the problem.
