Reloading XP

I want to reload XP and completely erase the C: drive in the process, but it
appears that it is not only remembering each variation of the user name from
the past but also all the data as well. [I have the data backed up to a
mirrored drive so I don't care about wiping out the entire drive and starting
over.] The C: drive on my Dell has two partitions, including an 8MB one for
something I'm not aware of, perhaps something Dell did.

How do I start over from scratch?

That 8 MB partition is the recovery partition. The fine manual for your
computer
tells how to use it.

If you don't want to return it to the as delivered state, then you just buy
an XP CD and install
XP from it.

Thanks for answering the question on the 8Mb partition.

I noticed the rest of the answer I was looking for was actually eleven posts
down from my own, "How do I totally remove Windows and..." I am implementing
that now and I trust it will work.
