Help, i updated my bios with grate success that is untill
i had too much clutter in my harddrive so i wanted to do a
format, fdisk it format, and reload now i have done it
before and it has worked fine, but this time i forgot that
i had updated my bios, well in the end the reload cd i got
from Time Computers i got with the computer no longer
works, i phoned them and asked, they said its because i
updatated the bios and its my fault so they won't take it
in and reload it, they said they would sort it out if i
pay 100 pound. Now i just asked them can't i get a copy
of the bios they put on my computer, they gave me the run
around saying they don't know if they have got it bla bla
bla, load of nonsense they do have it, they just want me
to pay 100 pound, so can anyone help me with this
situation i will i just have to bite the bullet and get a
bran new windows xp disk, in stead of a stupid reload
which only works with the 1 type of bios...grr

I think you have a few options.

1. You didn't mention the motherboard you have, but going to the motherboard's
manufacturer's web site and checking if they have older BIOS files might help.

2. Check the reload CD for a folder i386 and see if there is a winnt.exe there. You
maybe able to run an XP install from there.

3. Get some grey poupon and dine on the bullet. (Buy XP)
