In control panel go to add or remove programs>add/remove windows
components/accessories/details/ make sure 'games' is selected.

You obviously reinstalled xp thru windows explorer....One needs to reinstall
by booting to xp cd & performing a "clean" installation.

I am curious, Andrew E. - how is how they installed relevant here?

They do not have access to the games that one can have installed when they
install Windows XP.

If they had done an upgrade install (ie: from within Windows Explorer) --
and they had access to the games before (barring any unattended weirdness on
the CD) - they would *still* have access to the games afterwards.

If they had done a clean install wiht a default Windows XP CD and not
customized the installation any (barring any unattended weirdness on the
CD) - they would have gotten the games installed by default.

How does your reply 'work'?

Andrew, how do you conclude that the OP "obviously" did something that
isn't even remotely possible?
