Reloading IE 6

Is there a way to get an entirely fresh version of IE6 from somewhere?

It appears my version is corrupt but if I remove and reinstall it I have the
same problems. It's clear that removal doesn't get rid of all files as when I
renistall all my old settings are around .

Could it be that there's a damaged module that's also not removed that gets
picked up again when I reinstall?

Suggestions gratefully accepted

Windows version?

If the problem is being caused by hijackware, reinstalling IE won't help:
Windows if infected, not IE.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

Thanks for your suggestion and thanks, too for taking the time to respond.

I'll follow up on this. I'd still like to know if there's a way to do as I
asked originally, though.

Again, your Windows version is...?

But you're overlooking what OP could possibly have been referring to
when writing:

Also that article still doesn't make it clear to XPsp2 users
that it actually contains a suggestion for them too.
