Sorry if this question has already been answered, but I just got PowerPoint
2002 (XP) and can't find the very useful "Relative to Slide" button that was
in the Drawing/Alignment toolbar in previous versions. I checked the custom
list and couldn't find it either. Anyway to add it to PowerPoint 2002?

Thanks,

Justin

It's there. View > Toolbars > Customize > Commands. Choose Drawing in the
left column. In the "Commands" column you should find it listed just after
Distribute Horizontally and Distribute Vertically. But if you click on Draw
in the lower left corner and then on Align and Distribute, it's at the
bottom of the fly-out menu.

It is on mine!Try resetting your Drawing Toolbar. Right-click in the
toolbar area, select "Customize". Click the "Toolbars" TAB and select the
"drawing" toolbar. Click the "Reset" button and see if that works.

Weird. . . it wasn't there on the draw toolbar or in the customize menu
before, now it is. . .

Thanks.

I figured out the problem. In Previous versions of PowerPoint when I
created a Custom Toolbar I found if I wanted it to be globally available, I
had to create it with No Files Open, otherwise it would only associate
itself with the open file and not be globally available.
So, in PowerPoint 2002 (XP) when you creat a Toolbar with no files open the
"Relative to Slide" option is NOT available. It is only available when you
have a file open. . . . However, in this version of PowerPoint, if you
create a custom toolbar with a file open, that toolbar will remain globally
available.

So there you go. . . I wasn't crazy afterall.

Thanks,

Justin
