Hallo colleagues,

I try to set up a multiple choice test in powerpoint 2000. I set up a
question and 4 or more possible answers as template. Only one answer
is correct. On the start page you see the question and the 4 or more
possiblities. When you click on one item you see another page with
right or wrong and it's explanation. So far it's ok. When I copy the
template twice or more I jump to the first pages because of absolute
page jump. Is there any chance to set it to relative? It means
clicking on item 3 on page 7 should go to page 7 + 3 and not "goto
page 10". So when I copy the template it will adjust the pagelink
automatic. It would be a great help. Otherwise I have to correct each
link manually.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Best regards
Hans Keller

I don't think there is an easy way to do what you want (perhaps someone
else has an idea) unless you want to use VBA (in which case it is not
hard). The only thing I could think to do (without VBA) is to make each
question a separate presentation. Then the only link you have to fix for
each question is to get to the next question.

This can be done fairly simply in VBA, where "Current slide + 3" is
understood. There isn't a native solution within PowerPoint for relative
jumping. But...

You may want to look at some of the existing test/quizzes that have already
been built and are shared on-line. Unless you are looking to this as a
personal learning adventure, why not see if one of theirs will do what you
want?
