I have several tables where the Lookup Wizard was used to create a "field
type" (understanding of course that the Lookup Wizard doesn't actually
create a field type but that's where it's lodged in table design). When you
do that, you get a message that the table must be saved before relationships
can be created indicating that the Wizard is creating a relationship.
The problem is that, when I later want to delete a field created in this
way, I get an error message to the effect that the field cannot be deleted
because it is part of one or more relationships and that the relationships
must be deleted in the Relationships Window before the field can be deleted.
However, when you go to the Relationships window, no such relationship is
displayed. It's apparent that some relationship exists, but I can't find any
way to delete it. In fact, the only way that I've found to get rid of it is
to completely delete the table and recreate it.
Surely there's a better way to handle this situation. Any suggestions?
