hi all experts,
i m bit confused between the relation between the domain controller
(the hardware machine running the active directory ) and the domain
they are managing.
suppose i have one domain bar.com. and i have one subdomain
foo.bar.com. to run this subdomain foo.bar.com i have to dcpromo a
machine and create a new child. now can i add another machine as a
domain controller for foo.bar.com ?
when ever i dc promo a machine it becomes domain controller. isnt every
domain controller supposed to create a new domain or is it that we can
have multiple domain controllers serving the same domain?
thx.
