I recently rebuilt our domain and had to rejoin the
clients to the domain. However, I got an error on two of
them saying that they could not be rejoined because of a
credential conflict. Yet I have admin rights and there is
no other client on the network with that name. What might
be the problem?

You might want to try a search of this newsgroup at google:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=sv&lr=&ie=UTF-8&group=microsoft.public.win2000.networking

If you do a search there on "credential conflict" (marking, only search
in m.p.w.networking) you will get several hits, hopefully you will be
able to find something in the threads there.

it has been my experience that the credential conflict mean that part of
the computer infor is already on the derver. look for a computer already
joined maybe under a different name with the same ip adressor maybe the same
netbios name.

In a command prompt, type

net use * /del

and see if you can do it then.
