After I migrate my NT 4.0 domain to W2K Active Directory,
should I have to rejoin my W2K/XP clients to the domain?
I've noticed that the client PCs don't authenticate to the
new W2K domain controller-still only the NT4 BDC. Also,
their full computer names in System Properties don't show
the FQDN, and they don't register in DNS. If I rejoin the
client PC to the domain again (by simply typing the FQDN
of the domain in System properties, it will then
authenticate to AD, show the FQDN, and register in DNS.
What am I missing? Surely I shouldn't have to rejoin all
the PCs back to the domain.
