Rejected Cookies

I was browsing on my mother in law's computer the other day. Everything was
working fine. I noticed she had updates from microsoft that needed to be
installed. I proceeded to do the install and reboot the computer. Since
then, she can browse certain sites on the internet, but she can't log into
her e-mail sites. (ie AOL, Yahoo, etc.) When we try to log into yahoo, we
get an error message saying "This browser does not recognize ... (cookies
rejected). Other sites say Cookies needed to view this site.

I went into Internet Tools/Options/ and set the Privacy tab to allow ALL
cookies. Still nothing. Anyone have any ideas that might help?

Hi Chaos,
Do the following;
Open your IE Properties and On General Tab clear your caches, delete offline
content and cookies.
Click on the Privacy Tab then on Sites and Clear/Remove all web addresses
there.
Run Disk clean Up on the Drive C:\ and Reboot your machine.
Try to login into the E-mail account and see if the issue resolved.
If no joy, Rename the Hosts file to Hosts.Old and reboot, but not the HOSTS
file with .SAM extension leave this alone.
HTH
Please write back and let us know your outcome.
Regards
nass
P.S do you use Anti-Virus with firewall Protection and do you remember the
Update what about.
