I've installed vista home premium x64 but have noe decided that i would like
to properly reformat my hard disk. If i reformat and reinstall vista, will i
use up my one remaining activation?

Hi,

You can reinstall and reactivate as many times as you deem necessary. What
you can't do is install it on two or more systems simultaneously.

Is this a change from XP? On XP, I had to call some guy in Bangladesh or
wherever after trying to reinstall a certain number of times.

Thanks

Hi,

It's unchanged in that respect, but it doesn't mean you can't reactivate as
often as you deem necessary.

Gotcha. That's okay. Besides, with Vista I don't intend to do nearly as
many reinstalls, not even for experimental purposes. No need for that any
more, not with all of the way cool new performance and monitoring tools.
