reinstalling XP and partitioned drives

No, it's the original hard drive. One is large and one is small.

Here is a little back ground on the whole problem.....I was using Windows
Steady State as the computer in question is part of a Community Technology
Center & Library. I was having some issues with the PC, so I turned off WDP
in Steady State and attempted to do a recovery back to an earlier
date......Evidently this is a BIG NO NO if you are using Steady State 2.0...

Anyway, the administrator and user profiles locked up (they don't even
appear on the welcome screen), I tried a password recovery program that
didn't work, also tried to do a "repair" rather than reinstall. Nothing has
worked.

It's been 10+ years since I have reinstalled an OS and I don't remember
anything about partitioned drives.

Any advise you can give me would be helpful, I'm sure.

Thanks,
JacVip

Do you have the Windows XP CD and Key Code?
Or is that other partition (the small partition), a 'Restore' partition
created by the Vendor?
If you have the Windows CD then, what service pack is it (Gold, SP1 or SP2)

Answer to your question is normally the C: partition.
