1. I am running Windows XP Pro SP1 which is up-to-date with all released
patches & hotfixes.
2. I have read & have copies of:
Russ Valentine's Slipstick Article of Oct 2003
FAQs Fax Services Archives dated 11 Dec 2003
MS KB Articles:
328096
822799
828072
321639
322011
3. It has been necessary to re-install Fax Services from my original Win XP
Pro CD. Win XP SP1 was installed by download when it was first released. The
downloaded files were lost about 8 months ago.
4. Having re-installed I have 'lost' the Fax Monitor: I wish to 'find' it
again.
5. I have just obtained a Win XP SP1 CD from Microsoft UK.
6. I deduce from KB 328096 that it is possible to unpack the SP1 Cab to my
HD and re-install Fax from there.
7. My worry is that if I start re-loading SP1, I may lose all the subsequent
patches & upgrades and generally mess up my system.
8. Please may I have advice on the best course of action.
