Hi,
I manage a windows 2003 server which is a TS server and Domain controller.
Previous admin who managed the server has not done any documentation, so the
decision comes to reinstall the server.
I hope I can find several pointers in regards to the following issues:
1. TS Server license: How would I be able to reactivate the TS server
licensing service with the current Open License code?
2. Group policy: the end users is separated in 2 groups. The group that uses
thin client and those who doesn't. The group that uses thin client will be
locked down so all they can do is to run the provided program. The group that
doesn't use thin client, must have the ability to put things in their
desktop. How do I create the separation in group policy? I would like to
create 2 OUs (so it's clear to manage), but can't find the policy that can
check "log in via rdesktop" versus "log in via workstation".
3. Is there a method to move user's profile to accelerate the migration
process? The user got favorites in IE, PST email that must be migrated. Is
there any scripting approach?
4. How to load test the TS server? There's a tool for exchange, but can't
find it for TS.
Thank you for your help.
