Tomorrow I need to do a complete wipe and reinstall of my primary work
computer.
As such, I'll be reinstalling Outlook 2007. I'm trying to minimize
downtime when I come back, so I have a few questions.
1) Is getting back in business merely as simple as copying the
Outlook.pst file from my backup onto the location on my hard drive?
2) What is actually in the outlook.pst? I googled for that a bit, and
it implies it's just mail by the name "personal folders" I saw. Are
all my contacts, todo, calendar, etc stuff all in the Outlook.pst
file?
If restoring all my data is more than just copying the outlook.pst
file back over, can someone direct me to some information regarding
this? I tried googling for info, but to be honest, I found TOO MUCH
info, and most of what I found seemed to be programs wanting to repair
my outlook.pst file; I got frustrated with that too quickly.
