Reinstalling Lexmark x75 all in one..no valid INF files for this OS

Can anyone please help me, started having niggly problems with software that came with Lexmark, ran very slowly, very slowly indeed. Uninstalled the all in one . Then installed using the wizard, seemed to go OK. Then communication problems, followed the usual procedures ie power usb dis and re connecting. Did not solve, so I uninstalled yet again. This time I tried installing through My computer, double click, then clicked on set up etc. Asked me to put in OS disc as" There are no valid INF files for this operating system. That I did, and clicked OK..........nothing happened....installation failed
Any pointers in the right direction would very gratefully recieved. As at present am pulling me hair out! Thanks Spence
