I find that every time I reconnect my HP L7580 All in One thru USB cable, the
drivers get reinstalled. This typically takes about 15 minutes. I can see the
icon in task bar showing all the drivers being installed. HP help line is on
help as they say this problem is with Windowns Vista. I use Win Vista Home
Basic 32 bit.

Appreciate any help

I have the same problem. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit, and my
HP L7580 worked fine for about 4-5 months. Then everytime 'n switched on my
pc in reinstalled the all-in-one. It didn't bother me too much, but now it
doesn't even install the all-in-one. I can not print, scan, fax or do
anything with it on my pc. It says that the printer is not installed even if
it is connected. There is no communication between the pc and the all-in-one.
I used HP Scrubber to remove all the Hp Software, and tried reinstalling in,
but there is one step that cannot be completed. It's the driver of the L7580.
All the other things are installed. It searches for it on Windows Update but
it findes nothing. What I can not understand is why it doesn't find the
driver 'n downloaded on my pc.

Any help from anyone would be appreciated

Regards
Gaza

I had some problems like that even with XP.
Check out for new chipset version for your M/B.
New chipset version may cooperate better with
Windows Vista.
Check out for new drivers especialy for Windows vista.

Keep in touch.

Hey,
sorry

This is going to sound stupid, but what excactly is a chipset and M/B. How
will it help??

I put in a new motherboard this week, but I didn't change the harddrive. So
I'm going to reinstall Vista to install my new drivers, and maybe that wil
sort out the HP problem as well
