I bought an Acer laptop with Windows Vista Premium preloaded on it, but after
a couple weeks it started having a lot of problems. So I did a complete
reformat and reinstall, everything works now but the drivers for all my USB
devices. Devices like Logitech USB headphone, mini optical mouse, and all my
other USB devices no longer work. I also can’t find drivers for these devices
because Vista is supposed to already have them, I have tried everything I can
think of but nothing. They used to work, but now windows can’t find the
software including looking on online and windows update, and before it almost
instantly found the drives and the devices worked. Can anyone help me? I
really need to reinstall the drivers that come default on windows vista, does
any one know where a driver pack is for vista?

Have you talked to Acer tech support?

Windows comes with MANY drivers but not ALL. Dirvers for on-motherboard
devices may need drivers from the mobo maker to function, or they may only
function in a lowest capability mode.
My new Dell came with a Vista reinstall disk AND a Dell drivers Disk, the
major driver needed was on-board audio.
Some mother boards require a driver for their specific implimentation of USB
ports. If a 'drivers' disk came with your new Acer
check it out. Other devices on USB (other than diskdrives or things that
look like them) often require drivers that come with them to be installed
before the device is plugged in.

sounds like when you re-installed vista you missed some disks and failed to install them.
most likely you have a separate cd/dvd/floppy for drivers

C:\windows\inf\INFCACHE.1 is probably corrupt, and should be deleted.
Before you can delete it, you must edit its file permissions to give
Full Control to the Users Group.
