Reinstalled Access but cannot get new stlye buttons?

I have reinstalled Access 2007, but when I open my DB, I get the
'old/default' style buttons, which are hard to describe, but they seem to
lack the 3-D depth of the buttons that I always had previous to the
reinstall. I also get a scripting errow on a tab that uses a webs browser
which I never used to get. Can somebody help me restore my old buttons, and
hopefully shed some light on why the web browser now throws a scripting error.

There two possible reasons for the above?

1) windows xp, I think you need at least sp1 update installed for office
themes to work in ms-access. If you don't install this sp update, then you
see old style buttons.

2) You turned this feature off in the application. To enable and turn it
back on, go:

office button->access options->current database->

In the 1st section Application Options, you see an option called

use Windows - themed Controls on forms.

So, you need both of the above set (so, windows xp sp1 or later, and the
above setting).

I have XP with SP3 installed. (previously SP1 & 2).

I have ticked (and unticked) the 'use Windows - themed Controls' option, but
neither work. I have a feeling (from previous experience/memory) that it is a
VBA reference in the VBA/Tools menu, Refrences, but I don't know which one
among the myriad choices...
 
Hum, perhaps you crate a new test accDB, and create simply form with one
button...see if that works.

(it might be the one database).

if you figure this out...to try and post back...it will help everyone
here...
