Thanks. Your instructions were complete, except that I first had to Stop that
service before clicking on the Start button, as the latter was initially
grayed out. Also, restarting it did not resolve the problem I'd been having
with the firewall status deplay. That display continues to show the firewall
is On even when I have turned it off. I can only confirm it's off by
entering the appropriate syntax after a command prompt. Repeated on and off
toggling has no effect on the status display, which is always shown as On.
Also, when I know I have toggled it off, the warning icon no longer appears
in my system tray. Tis a mystery.
