If I reinstall XP, will I be able to reinstall the updates to my Office 2003
applications also? I notice Office Updates now point to the 2007 versions.
Where are the 2003 updates now?

Updates for your version are still available. When you go to Microsoft
Update, you will be given the choices to download and install what's
applicable to *your* system. If you have Office 2003, that's what
you'll get updates for.

Why do you want to reinstall XP? It's seldom a good way to proceed if
you have a problem.

I need to repartition my hard disk because there's not enough room on my C:\
partition, so I'm just covering myself in case things go wrong.

Thanks for the info.

Are you aware that, although no version of Windows before Vista or DOS
has ever had the ability to change the partition structure of a drive
without losing all the data on it, it is possible with the use of a
third-party program. Partition Magic is the best-known such program,
but there are shareware/freeware alternatives. One such program is
BootIt Next Generation. It's shareware, but comes with a free 30-day
trial, so you should be able to do what you want within that 30 days.
I haven't used it myself (because I've never needed to use *any* such
program), but it comes highly recommended by several other MVPs here.

However if you use such a program, be sure you have a good backup of
anything you can't afford to lose. Although there's no reason to
expect a problem, things *can* go wrong.

Thanks for the info.

You're welcome. Glad to help.
